My students need to enter into the 21st century of technology. Books are fabulous but how great would it be to have 4 tablet computers to use math applications to visualize problems.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Textbooks are great but tablets are more of an updated resource for students to use. Tablets can allow students to visualize math problems. How great would it be to not only learn math but become more familiar with technology. This is 2011.
My students are from a high poverty area in California.
My students are unaware how technology can help them with math. Technology intrigues most especially students who may not have it at home. This will help them get an edge on math and technology skills.
My Project
Tablets can help with tutoring. They will be used to access web based tutorials to help students with math. Along with the remedial math, students can have access to sites with higher order math. Tablets can hit all academic levels. Hopefully, this will spark an interest in all students
My middle school students need tablets to connect to the web, and use different applications to help with their math skills.
Math is essential. Without it, tablets wouldn't made be possible.
