Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach students with special needs abilities, not disabilities.
My students range from ages 5 through 11, and at times most if not all need a space where they can sit, and calm their bodies and minds when they are going a hundred miles a minute with uncontrollable thoughts and anxiety.
With your help, the materials such as various sensory toys and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) books I am requesting in this project would help me continue to build a space in our classroom where my students are able to reflect, sit in a quiet place with their thoughts, and have materials that will help them give them some physical peace as well as some peace of mind.
