This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school encompasses students from diverse backgrounds and function at different levels. We want to challenge our students to find the answers to the questions about the world in which they live.

Our students come from lower income families who want the best for their children.

Many of their parents want the American dream. They hope that their children will have more than they had in their former countries. They entrust in our NYC school system to help them achieve that American Dream. Unfortunately, due to the budget cuts, it has made it challenging for teachers to motivate them with other resources.

My Project

The resources that I am requesting are science prizes. We will be holding our annual school-wide Science Fair shortly, and I hope that the prizes will help motivate our students to participate and to award them for their exceptional work. The resources include telescopes, volcanoes, microscopes and presentation boards.

Please help our school.

We don't have a budget for the fair. Our students will be so excited to see the inspiring materials that they may receive. These students may be the ones who make break throughs in science.
