This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Thank you for taking the time to consider helping our students. I recently transitioned to teaching Early Childhood Special Education. My student population is comprised of young children who have developmental delays and/or diagnosed conditions. This student population makeup comes with additional sensory needs to consider.

My goal is to create a classroom environment that celebrates my students' neurodiversity by highlighting their strengths through providing learning opportunities that focus on their interests, as well as equipping parents with developmentally appropriate reading materials to foster engagement.

Your giving will open doors for my students creating opportunities for sensory exploration and integration through play with a broad range of materials. Sensory integration is a fundamental part of meeting the heightened sensory needs of a neurodiverse child.
