This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is an Environmental Science magnet school that encourages authentic learning experiences. Many of our students were affected by tropical depression Imelda and need help. I want to provide each of my students with a new backpack, water bottle, and a pair of shoes to help replace the many things they recently lost. Many of my students went to school on the 19th and returned home to severe damage and losses of personal items.
I am a fifth-grade self-contained teacher at an inner-city elementary school in Houston that was severely affected by tropical depression Imelda.
My students are highly motivated and work extremely hard. They are in need of some help after an unexpected severe storm hit our community. These children want to be successful and your help can aid assist them to reach their goals.
My Project
Many of my students were affected by the recent tropical storm Imelda and lost personal items to flooding. Through your generous contribution, we can help these deserving students replace lost items and provide them with resources that will last them for several years!
My goal is to provide each of my 32 students with a brand new pair of shoes, a backpack, and a water bottle!
These students are in need of your help and your contribution can make a difference in the lives of 32 students for at least three years!
Many of my students lost shoes and backpacks on the 19th and have never owned a water bottle. Your donation will go directly to providing these children with the essential items they need the most.
These backpacks will last the students throughout middle school and possibly even high school (that's three years you're investing in these amazing students)! The shoes will play an enormous relief effort as many of my students are in desperate need of new shoes following Imelda. The water bottles will last them for years as it is extremely durable!
