Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

What are some of your clearest memories from first grade? Maybe you were nervous leaving your parents, maybe you were anxious to meet new friends, or maybe you were just excited to have a new space to explore! For my students, coming to school is sometimes the most relaxing and fun part of their day.

The students in my classroom come from low-income families, with many whose first language is not English.

They love coming to school, spending time with their friends, and learning new things!

My Project

The supplies I am requesting are basic, everyday school supplies. Pencils, crayons, and scissors are tools that will be utilized every day in our first grade community; folders to help students with organization and dry erase boards to help them practice their skills.

A student's ability to learn should not be hindered because his or her family cannot supply them with common school necessities.

All of the materials on my list are necessary to get the most out of the school day. Your donation will truly be appreciated, and I cannot thank you enough for helping to support our future leaders!
