This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a high school music teacher in a low-income district who tries to get every type of student actively engaged in music!
My students have an incredible amount of music within them, but do not have the money to buy the instruments that could help them to get it out.
I am hoping to start a guitar course this year but I desperately need guitars for the students to use. If I cannot acquire guitars, the course will not be able to run.
My students are not the type of students that can afford private music lessons. It is very possible that this is the only chance they will ever have to learn to play an instrument.
These guitars will make it possible for low-income students to have the chance that every single person deserves: the chance to make music a part of his or her life. Please help to make it happen.
