Help Struggling Readers Enjoy Literature

Help me give my students with reading struggles the ability to enjoy reading literature, and the ease of reading story problems in math.

My Students

I am a special education teacher that works with students in grades K-6. Some of my students have difficulty with reading but are good at math and have a good vocabulary. They often struggle with reading the story problems when they are in their general education classroom and with accessing books that will expand their vocabulary. I would like pen readers so that my students can access curriculum with ease.

My Project

Many of my students struggle with reading. When a student struggles to read, it can make doing homework arduous and taxing. The reading pen would allow my students to access reading in any environment even if an adult is not present to help them read story problems or good books. If reading was made easier for my students, they would feel more successful and confident in all subject areas. If my students felt more successful and confident, the would persevere more often on the hard things. All students should have access to good books.
