My Students
My students are inquisitive, love learning new things, especially hands on activities! We are a diverse school. Their backgrounds are from all around the world!
We are a Title I school which means the majority of students we have are from low-income families; the virus hit our community hard with many family members sick or passed on.
I was thrilled when I was one of the teachers who were chosen by Donor's Choose and given a gift card to send items and food to families in need in our community.
The students I teach are from the ages 3 to age 9. It really can be challenging at times, but I love watching them grow and light up when they understand a new concept. Teaching remotely has been a big challenge. I have seen some students really blossom who were normally quiet and some, needing a bit more assistance, or just someone to talk to.
I really love what I do, but now I need your help to help me do my job.
My Project
This project will benefit my classes by letting me teach Science lessons remotely using a whiteboard to write responses from students when I do live teaching. Currently, I do not have anything to hold charts or write on while teaching remotely in my home. It becomes very difficult when trying to take down ideas from students on paper and have it fall off the wall in the middle of a lesson. It would be EXTREMELY helpful if I had a stable place to put chart paper and a place to write down students' responses in real time. Money is tight in our school, and when teachers get something new, it is always special for our students. Please support my project.
