This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project will be going directly to a growing special education preschool class! We have been running low on snacks, toys, manipulatives and craft material. New students means new needs! I am a first year teacher and I am still building my toy inventory, and while I was getting to know my students this year, I have thought of new toys and crafts that would best engage them. You will see toys that focus on building characters, which they love to do. This allows them to practice their motor skills by building, then their social skills by playing with the character they built with their peer. Snacks are included in this project. I have gotten to know which snacks are their favorite and I love to have a healthy supply ready for them. Included in this project are additional items for our students to use during outside recess to work on their fine and gross motor skills. Also, there are manipulatives included for indoor play and sensory breaks, to meet the range of needs in my classroom.
