My Students
My students come from a small, rural community. Our school is a K-2 building where 76% of the students receive free or reduced price lunch. Despite any challenges my kiddos face, each and every one of them strives to be the best second-grader they can be each day. Our district's resources are limited to textbook purchases; therefore not much is left to be spent extra support in the classroom.
My Project
With the Corona Virus continuing to affect our community, these personal space desk dividers will help to ensure all students' safety in the classroom and provide an extra layer of safety from germs.
These desk dividers will also support my students both socially and emotionally by giving them a sense of safety while learning in the classroom.
They will also offer parents piece of mind knowing that while their child is attending school in person, every precaution is being taken in the classroom to help reduce the risk of spreading the virus.
