A well organized classroom helps set a positive tone for learning.
My ESOL students come from a variety of backgrounds.
They are learning English as a second (or third) language. The majority of them qualify for free/reduced lunch. For them school is a warm, welcoming, and safe place. My school works hard to maintain this atmosphere despite years of budget cuts.
My Project
With these materials my students will be able to practice the language necessary for identifying basic calendar terms, have a consistent supply of sharpened pencils, have an area to comfortably read books on a classroom run, and take part in targeted small group instruction that utilizes the dry erase pocket chart and table chart.
Donations to this project will help my students start the year out with a well organized classroom.
It will allow them to have easy access to sharpened pencils for writing activities, an enjoyable place to read, and pocket charts to organize learning activities.
