Help Save Prom Night

Help me give my students a night to remember, The cart contains prom essentials—decorations, backdrop curtains, tickets, photography, and necessities—to create a night students will never forget. Every dollar goes toward making prom accessible and memorable for students.

My Project

At WMHS, prom is more than just a dance—it’s a milestone, a celebration of resilience, and a night our seniors have dreamed of for years. But for many of our students, this special night feels financially out of reach.

WM is a Title I school where the vast majority of students come from low-income households.

Many of our seniors juggle school, work, and family responsibilities, often helping to support younger siblings or contributing to household expenses. Some are the first in their families to graduate high school, making prom an even more meaningful rite of passage. But with rising costs for tickets, attire, and essential prom materials, too many of our students are facing the heartbreaking reality of missing out simply because they can’t afford it.

We are requesting support to help provide prom essentials—decorations, ticket subsidies, photography, and other necessities—to create a night our students will never forget. Every dollar raised goes directly toward making prom more accessible and memorable for these hardworking young people who deserve to feel celebrated.

For many, this will be their only chance to attend a formal event. It’s a moment to step away from daily struggles, feel valued, and create lasting memories with their peers. With your help, we can ensure ALL students—regardless of financial circumstances—can have the magical prom experience they deserve.
