My Project
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our seed library initiative, which will focus on providing access to planting seeds for pollinators in Queens, New York City. This project is a powerful step forward for our library and the broader student community, promoting biodiversity and a healthier ecosystem. As we know, the population of pollinators is rapidly dwindling and they need our help! The launch of a seed library is a way to engage our community in the restorative act of gardening and amplifying the ways that libraries support our city. By offering seeds and educational resources, we aim to inspire community members to cultivate gardens that support pollinators such as bees and butterflies in their neighborhoods in Queens. Your support will enable us to kickstart this initiative, creating a space where people can learn about sustainable practices and actively contribute to a greener, more vibrant future.
