This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our preschoolers are energetic, curious by nature, and eager helpers who bring out the joy of being an educator. They come to school with open minds and open hearts. Like sponges, they soak up every energy and make our school lively and full of fun. Our preschoolers come from low income families that are Title I funded and receive free or reduced-price lunches. Their parents are either working or going to school or seeking employment. Despite all these challenges, we strive to bridge the gap so that all preschoolers have an educational environment where they can learn and strive to be the best.
My Project
The materials that I am requesting for my students is a clean and safe rug with letters and number for them to see every day, and a place to display books. In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! The large carpet will be placed in the front of the classroom and used as a gathering place for our circle time learning and social emotional development.
With this new book display, my students will be able to independently select books to explore, and the rug will be a tool for them to learn from independently.
In addition, the rug and bookshelf will energize and brighten our learning environment!
