This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a group of fun preschoolers who love to learn and play. This year our class is young, with mostly 3 year olds, but there are a few little ones who just turned 4 too.
Our preschoolers learn through play and by participating in fun experiences.
Touching and manipulating toys helps give them the fine motor strength they will need for writing skills when they are older. Playing games teaches them important self regulation skills such as waiting and turn taking they will need to be successful later in life.
My Project
Help our preschool students gain critical gross motor development including balance and coordination through fun play-based activities and tools. Our little tikes are always on the go and love to learn. These materials will help their physical development and health through focused games and activities to increase their balance, hand-eye coordination, while supporting pre academic skills while they learn about colors and practice counting.
The balance beams and balance balls will be used to help build important balance and gross motor skills.
The streamer balls will help with their hand-eye coordination, bilateral coordination and development as they play catch with friends. The streamers on these balls assist young children in catching and increase success as they learn these important skills.
