My Students
This past year my sixth, seventh and eighth grade students learned in a completely digital setting. Only about 10% of my students returned by in person to learn for the last two months of school. I want to focus on giving helping meet my students social and emotional learning needs. This means promoting a fun atmosphere that encourages our youth to participate in group sports with their peers.
I strive to empower all my students to grow and be the best that they can be.
I want to give my students a great educational experience and have a FUN experience in our physical education program! All of my students are eligible to receive both the school breakfast and lunch daily for free. Most of our school population takes public transportation. We serve a very large and diverse ESOL population.
My Project
The portable power station will provide us the opportunity to power technology safely in the gym. My teaching partners and I utilize technology and would like to integrate the use of a projector in the gym. The power bank will allow us to use the projector on any wall or surface without having to run electrical cords which could lead to a someone tripping or falling. The power station will also allow us to move around and better utilize the gym or outdoors and power up or charge anything needed.
Currently, one sound system we use requires power so it needs to be located at one of the working electrical outlets.
We would be able to relocate the sound system when needed and not be limited by the length of an extension cord. Also, we would be able to set up an electronic scoreboard outside on the basketball courts. The possibilities are endless!
