My Project
This is a project that will help our Yellow tulip group to target specifically racial stereotypes and negativity. We are a group that promotes positive messages of hope and mental health. We live in an area close to a large university and so we have a wide array of students from lots of different cultures. We are aware that often negative stereotypes and messages can bring down people and these often can come from just not being aware and understanding. So one area we hope to target this coming year is to spread messages of awareness and support to all cultures in our school. This will be done using the wall poster hangers to post monthly messages, the white board and markers will be used for weekly questions that allow students to stop and think and make awareness pieces of how things impact others.
We want the window markers so we can use those to also spread positive messages on various windows in the school of hope and acceptance.
The shredder and sticky notes are to be used during lunch times where students can come up and write down negatives and then "shred" them in a symbol of getting rid of the negative pieces.
