My Students

Faced with many challenges, but still eager to learn and succeed. This statement sums up students who attend our school. Located in Riverdale, GA, a low-income area our scholars face many issues and challenges before arriving at school. When they enter our school, they feel safe, secure, and welcomed. Their bright faces light up to see adults that are encouraging them to always put their best foot forward and never give up. Once arriving at​ school, our scholars know there are no excuses for failure because they were born to succeed.

My Project

Our football ball team consists of young men who are striving to make a difference in their lives. Instead of leaving school and going home to play video games, these young men are on the football field practicing and putting forth their best effort to learn the game and become winners. However, they are often defeated in their mind because they do not have some of the necessary equipment to be successful.

If our team had extra footballs, football gloves and extra protective wear it would make a big difference in how our team perform during the game.

These materials would help boost our team self confidence and play the game of football in a safe manner.
