My students need resources, like scissors, 4 knead-a-balls and games, that can assist them with everyday activities such as cutting, coloring, writing, and improving their motor skills.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We can often take for granted life's simplicities such as writing and moving. Many times, we don't take into consideration all the work our bodies put into doing those things. My classroom faces those challenges every day.
My kindergarten students have moderate to severe disabilities.
They are so full of creative energy and the room they have to learn new things and strategies to better help them succeed is overwhelming. They radiate such passion and love for the world around them and appreciate the everyday simple things like a smile or a hello.
My Project
My students and I are requesting materials that can help them focus in on their target skills that they will need for the rest of their lives. They can really benefit from using the extra support in holding a pencil with a pencil grip, cutting a piece of paper with the table top desk scissors, or using bulb crayons to help them illustrate a picture. For my students, the realities they face with the challenges of motor skills can best met through the use of these very useful materials.
Your donations would make all the difference.
It's so great knowing that there are people out there who really care about making the difference in someone's life. Not only are you helping us, your going to help my students pay it forward to others.
