Help me give my students a storage unit, bins, and some learning tools to be organized and to independent.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Woo's classroom raised $576

My Project
All of the students in 8:1:1 class are on the autism spectrum. Some students are high functioning and some students are low functioning. Regardless of their wide variety of academic, behavioral, and social abilities, each student is capable of managing some of their daily living skills, such as hanging up their own backpack and jacket in the cubby, cleaning up after play, and choosing a book from bookshelves in the library area. Therefore, the 8:1:1 classroom should be equipped with the learning materials for the students to be organized and independent in navigating the students' learning throughout the day.
Unfortunately, the classroom does not have any cubby or storage bins.
Since the first day of 2023-2024 school year starting, the students just leave their backpack on the floor or chair in the classroom. The teacher or paraprofessional has to place the students’ backpacks in the closet for them. Therefore, cubbies in our classroom is very importance to promote the opportunity for the students to learn how to manage and organize their own belongings independently. In addition, the storage bins will be used to store manipulative toys, books, folder games, and more. It also promotes the students’ independence to play and clean up their toys, books, and folder games after free play activities. Therefore, the cubby and storage bins are important to promote independency in the student’s own learning in the classroom.
Please help my students to be organized, independent, and succeed in their learning.
