My Students
APS is located in a rural community in central Virginia with a dynamic group of three to eight year olds. Appomattox is where our nation was reunited after the Civil War. We are a loving and community rich school. Limited financial resources, opportunities, human harmony and a tornado in our area could keep us stuck in the past, but our hearts and determination are leading us to a bright future. Our school motto begins with "Be your best for all to see" and we will succeed.
My Project
Do you know the story of the "Little Engine That Could?" That's the story of our art room. We embrace technology as a tool for arts integration and communication. We need to make our pursuits portable so we can transport our learning to the highest level.
STEAM art friendly books will help us lead and soar in performance and project based learning.
We are the "make learning fun" art class. We have a STEAM group, work with various groups and locations in and around our building and maintain an online gallery. We share our love of learning and resources with our local and online community. Help a small town school keep our window to the world. These books will help us lead our kid friendly, innovative learning projects we love to create and share. We are little, yet mighty creative.
