My Students
My students mean everything to me. Their drive to always do better amazes me. These materials will give me the opportunity to support the learning in my classroom.
My students come to school each day with a desire to learn.
We lack resources in my school due to budget cuts and funding. We are also a Title I School. Most of our students are economically disadvantaged. This does not stop our students from wanting to learn! They enter the school each day with a smile on their face and excited as to what each day will bring.
My Project
Each week we choose a star student for the class. I am requesting star student posters that will be hung in the classroom for the week for everyone to see. It is a great way to give the star student the spotlight for the week. In addition to this, everyone in the class writes compliments for the star student on index cards. By the end of the week, the star student gets a book. I have requested index cards and binder rings to help create these books. Who wouldn't love 31 compliments?
Our students also participate in a bi-weekly classroom store in which they spend their classroom money to get items that they love!
These prizes will encourage them to always do their best. The students will be able to purchase the prizes requested. The bracelets, stickers, sticky hands, plush emoji mini pillows and stamps will be choices they can select from to reward their hard work. All of these items will be put to good use to reward our star students!
