My Students

My students kept me going throughout the pandemic. Navigating my first year as a teacher of record in a hybrid setting majority of the year was crazy. We laughed, we got mad, there were tears, but through it all, we persevered.

I look forward to getting to interact safely in person with my new second-grade class!

I am excited not to have to skip around the curriculum due to COVID restrictions and build more meaningful connections.

My Project

The beginning of the 2021 school year will be unique. After the crazy 2020 year of COVID and safety rules, help my students stay safe and clean in our classroom. I am asking for a bit of help with supplies this year.

My students will use three-ring binders, pencils, crayons, a whiteboard, and markers to record their daily lessons.

Having individual supplies like scissors keep the kids from sharing germs through the collection of supplies. Pencil pouches are a must for hold their markers, pencils, and other supplies. Kleenex and hand sanitizer are necessary to minimize the spreading of germs. Providing these supplies on the first day will lead to a smooth start to the school year. Many students come to school with no supplies. If I can provide them with basics, they can be confident in their work, knowing they have what they need to complete their assignments.

It’s always a challenge to keep second graders' hands clean and sanitized. These supplies will help with creating an organized, responsive, and clean learning environment.
