Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our shared campus with five other schools, our students face the challenge of outdated and limited weight room equipment, which they must share with peers from neighboring institution's. This crowded and often inadequate environment has inspired our students to express a need for accessible alternatives, particularly treadmills. Treadmills provide an excellent means for students to develop endurance and engage in cardiovascular exercise, especially for those who may be unable to use certain machines due to physical limitations or personal presences introducing treadmills into our fitness program would not only enhance the physical well-being of our students by promoting heart health, weight management, and improved fitness levels, but also offer mental health benefits such as stress reduction, improved mood, and increased concentration and focus. We are reaching out to our community for support through this Donorchoose campaign to raise funds for two cardio machines, which would significantly enrich the school experience for our students offering them a modern and inclusive way to stay active and health. Your contribution will directly impact their daily lives and well-being, providing a much needed resource for their personal growth and development.
