This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year, our school has started a music orchestra band and the kids are super excited! I am requesting materials for my students when they might need an extra string, rosin, and other musical materials to help them continue learning. Those students participating are currently performing violin, trumpet, and other string instruments. I am also requesting a class set of flutes to teach my fourth graders an additional instrument to perform songs for the parents during the Spring and if possible at the end of the year. Because I already know how to play an instrument, I feel it is a responsibility I have to teach kids how to play an instrument. There are very few opportunities for children to be exposed to learning an instrument. Therefore, I want to be able to bring this project to life with your help! Thank you in advance!
