This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students come from all different backgrounds and are the sweetest little first graders you'll ever meet. Many of them are English Language Learners and are being exposed to English for the very first time. It is vital in the primary grades for all students to have access to hearing words and books. This is how most of their learning begins. We are lucky enough to have computers for each student, but many of them do not have headphones. You can imagine how difficult it is for 30, 6 year olds, trying to listen to a book at low volume at the same time. With these headphones, all of my students will comfortably be able to listen to various lessons and complete activities on their computer being 100 percent engaged.
