This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a new Librarian at a Title One School, I would like to create a Maker Space for my students in order for them to become comfortable with being in the Library that has been closed for an entire year.

By having a Maker Space, I hope to give or students a creative platform outside of home where they may not have the opportunity to purchase these materials.

Having a Maker Space also gives incentive for students to come to the Library, and works as a gateway to beginning to take interest in reading books.
