My Students

I am the school librarian for a campus of three high schools in Brooklyn. For a decade, our campus had no library or librarian, and the space was left to fester. Now, I have been brought in to bring the space back to life once our renovation is done.

Our students are bright, hard-working, and in need of engaging material.

We are in need of various materials for a safe and productive reopening of our library and campus.

My Project

Our library has been closed since March of 2020, and is now reopening for circulation. Unfortunately, books have piled up and we desperately need a signage refresh because of cleaning protocols!

Our students need to be able to locate library materials in our collection!

This project will increase findability in our collection which is essential in a library. We've also received many new books that we currently cannot afford to put on the shelf because we need the processing materials in this project. This project will directly impact student access to materials!

The items asked for are label protectors, barcode and call number labels, shelf labels to increase findability, and replacement sign holders for our classification signs.
