This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the our high school Theatre Department in Camden, NJ! As we prepare for our very first production, we invite you to join us in making this vision a reality.

We are excited to share that our inaugural production will be Six: The Musical (Teen Edition), a powerful story of female empowerment that reimagines the lives of the six wives of Henry VIII.

This dynamic musical highlights the strength, resilience, and individuality of these remarkable women, offering our students an inspiring narrative that encourages them to find and use their own voices.

Currently, high school is operating in a temporary, "swing space" as our former building is demolished in favor of an updated, permanent home.

Despite this challenge, our students are eager to showcase their talents and creativity. Our high school serves a vibrant, underserved community of at-risk students, many of whom are English Language Learners and bilingual.

Our productions will also serve as a bridge to the community, inviting families and residents to experience the talents of our students and fostering a sense of unity.

To bring this inaugural production to life, we need your support. We are seeking donations to help cover essential production costs, including licensing fees, rehearsal resources (such as accompaniment tracks), and rental materials. Your generous contribution will not only help us put on an incredible show but also empower our students to shine on stage and in life.

Together, we can create an inspiring environment where every student has the opportunity to explore their talents and passions. Please consider making a donation to help us launch this exciting new chapter for our school community.
