My students need activity sets for our science units on cells and the solar system.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Pittman's classroom raised $197

My Students
Have you ever tried to complete a task without having the materials? My students are experiencing the same situation in science class. We have upcoming units on cells and the solar system in our curriculum. My students don't have access to materials to help them experiment with the topics.
My students are absolutely wonderful.
It is so amazing to see how interested they are in learning about science. I see so many future scientists and historians in my room. We are a public school located in south Louisiana. Our school has almost 100% free and reduced lunch count. We do not have a science lab and have very few science materials for students to use.
My Project
With these activity kits, I will be able to bring the concepts we are studying to life. The students can only gain so much through the textbook and computer resources. Hands-on experiments and tools will allow the students to become more engaged in our concepts. By actually conducting these experiments, I feel as though they will be able to retain the information better in the future. My students will be able to learn about cells and organisms. They will be able to see cells and do many experiments with them. Also, they will be able to experiment with the solar system.
Currently, we have very little materials for students to conduct experiments with.
This donation will affect my students forever. They will be able to create and see first-hand how cells look. They will also be able to experiment with our planets. This donation will make a world of difference in my class for our future scientists.
