Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are 70% Hispanic and 30% African-American and 79% receive FREE lunch due to their socio-economic status. These students are college bound, against ALL odds! They do not have parents due to incarceration, deportation, or death. These students are extremely resilient and have become college ready with the support of school staff and great mentors.
Please help me send homeless and migrant students to college with a laptop to ensure they have all the technology they need for a successful freshman year!
This laptop will assist them with Zoom classes, assignments, and more! These students go to college for FREE on the state's "homeless waiver," yet they do not have all the necessities for success. At the school site we are working to provide dorm needs, yet your support of a laptop is greatly needed.
