Our choir performs multiple times a year for assemblies and performances at the school. We have straight risers, but having a set of tapered risers, one for each end, would allow the students to stand more safely and hear each other better when singing. At current the straight risers are turned at an angle leaving a large gap between the second and third tiers. Having tapered risers would eliminate that gap. It would allow for better placement of parts on the risers so parts can stay together and improve the safety of the risers. The choir now "tours" elementary schools for Halloween and Christmas as well as the district board office and senior service center. They perform for Veterans Day, Winter Wonderland, Black History Celebration, numerous sporting events, and our Spring Concert. We were able to achieve getting uniforms for every student this year and the risers would help continue the look of the group.
