Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a highly diverse group of over 500 students. I am lucky enough to be able to direct a musical after school with many students from 2nd-5th grades. This year we had over 70 kids audition! We want to give kids the opportunity to continue participating in more musicals.

Being in a musical gives these kids a chance to learn valuable skills, build a community of friendships across grade levels, and share their talents with their friends and family!

We have had many members of our community come to these performances and it's been a great experience for our students and their loved ones.

Many of the students at my school need some help getting costumes. I want to make it possible for any students who want to be able to enjoy the benefits of participating in the performing arts with out causing them or their families undo stress. Your contribution to this project with help our students shine on stage!
