Help me give my students play equipment! We're requesting balls and jump ropes for our students at Chavez Elementary. With no functioning PE equipment, these supplies will provide safe, structured play, reducing injuries for our 2nd-5th grade students.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
At CCES, a Title I school in Southeast San Diego, we serve 356 diverse students, 100% of whom receive free lunch. Currently, our 2nd-5th grade students have no functioning PE or play equipment. Their only option for physical activity is running and playing with broken jump ropes, which has resulted in injuries and missed opportunities for safe, structured play.
We’re requesting funding for balls and jump ropes to ensure every student has access to engaging, age-appropriate physical activities with functioning equipment.
Your donation will:
Provide essential play and PE equipment for safe and fun activities
Support physical health, coordination, and teamwork
Help reduce injuries and encourage healthy habits
Ensure every student can participate in active, inclusive play
Your support will directly benefit our students by creating a safer, more active environment. Thank you for helping us keep our 2nd-5th graders moving and safe!
