Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our class is an early childhood ICT classroom with a mix of general education and special education students. They come to school with a fire in their bellies to learn. Our school is located in an area where our scholars don't have the means to enhance their learning at home. They are very driven to want to do well and learn new things. We want to be able to give the scholars the experience that they deserve to have. We want to create an environment that is nurturing, engaging, and welcoming.

My Project

My students are growing up in an age of technology. Unfortunately, they are unable to use technology in my classroom due to a lack of resources. I love to set up different centers throughout the day using technology. Unfortunately, my classroom has one computer for student use. My students are always disappointed when it is not their turn to use that one computer and they often have to share during their time on the computer. I would love to give my students more of that technology time. They often read, play educational games, and do research on the computer. If we had a class set of tablets, I would really be able to cater this technology time to needs of my individual students.
