This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"All children are artists. The only problem is how to remain an artist once they grow up." Pablo Picasso once said these words and they have always stuck with me. I always teach my students art with an intent of longevity. How can they use the techniques outside of my room and beyond the elementary art years?
My students have a burning desire to learn, create, design, discover, and explore in my room.
They are artists and achievers. I know 100% that my students will use, do, or create art for the rest of their lives!
My Project
Last year was definitely a struggle. Especially as an art teacher and trying to teach a mainly 3D subject virtually. This year we are back in the classroom, so I am really wanting to amp up my art project game to design more 3D and hand building activities and projects for my students.
Donating to my class will help students cope with last years struggles by creating ART!
Art is the most therapeutic way to destress and you can hep my students overcome their struggles by making and celebrating art!
With these supplies, I will be teaching neon painting lessons k-5th grade. With these supplies, students will paint using black lights that I already have and they will paint using the neon paints and other art materials on my list to paint landscapes, animals, and more! The options are endless! This has been a successful project done by many of my cohorts and I am super excited to try them myself, and so are my students!
