Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica (SHH) is an honor society for high school students enrolled in Spanish.
The mission of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica is to recognize high school achievement in Spanish and to promote interest in Hispanic studies.
My students are an honor group that helps perpetuate the Spanish language in society.
Likewise, they are committed to helping other students with the study and improvement of the Spanish language.
My students carry out various activities during the classes. For example, one of the most important is the Hispanic Heritage show. In that show to celebrate our Hispanic heritage, they perform multiple activities that involve the Spanish language and exalt those who have it as a flag. They also read books of recognized writers like Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Isabel Allende, Mario Vargas LLosa, Pablo Neruda. My students discuss the topics related with those books and the real life.
My Project
My students in the SHH really appreciate your help to their graduation and making their dreams come true. The students are going to feel their efforts recognized by the items that make them representatives of the Spanish language.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to the graduation of my students, but also you will ultimately help to increase the academic achievement in our school.
The students will be noticeably more engaged to participate in the SHH, and probably the next years we will have more students trying to keep alive the Spanish and the Spanish culture.
