Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I want to be able to provide my students with the best materials that will benefit English language learners and also help foster a great learning environment to accommodate all of the different learning needs in my classroom. My diverse classroom has some students who are new to this country.
These materials (Alphabet Sound Teaching Tubs, Alphabet Learning Locks, etc) will help my students be engaged and have fun.
We will be using these materials during our academy time. During this time we have students in small groups working on different activities. This will help my independent group learn the letters and beginning sounds.
It will help develop literacy in my students by having them do these hands-on activities. We are currently learning about letter sounds and the beginning sounds of words, and these manipulatives will reinforce these learning targets.
