Help me give my students the tools they need to study AP Government and World History, especially when it comes to annotating primary and secondary sources.

My Project
After months of remote learning, many of my students "zone out" while reading on screens. Additionally, the ubiquitous use of social media has conditioned them to scroll through pages and scan information instead of reading to acquire and understand information. Ordering paper, pencils, and pens for annotation will allow me to make printed copies--especially of difficult, primary-source texts from hundreds of years ago--to help students re-learn strategies that improve reading comprehension.
Additionally, the AMSCO textbooks on this list will support my efforts to improve students' chances of success in AP U.S.
Government. Many of these students would have benefitted from taking pre-AP or AP classes as underclassmen, but the inconsistencies of remote learning scared many of them away from doing so. This text will help my Government students deepen their content knowledge and develop their historical thinking and writing skills so that they can do their best on the APGov exam administered this spring.
