Help My Students See Themselves in the Books They Read

Help me give my students a library full of books in which they see themselves depicted. I want all of my Bees to be successful readers, even though I teach math. All teachers are reading teachers.

My Project

I want all students to feel as though they're the main character. What better way to do that than by having books in the library that depict them? I was hoping you could help me make my classroom library a success. This will be my first year teaching littles, as I was a middle and high school math teacher prior. When students see themselves in their work or books they read, they become more invested in their learning. This is the main goal. Making learning and reading exciting. I always read at least two books a month. Every day, you learn new things and find peace within. The National Geographic books are because I will be teaching Math, Social Studies, and Science. The floor pillows are for students to sit comfortably on the floor during reading time. The disinfection wipes are necessary because we all need to be safe and free from getting sick. COVID is still around, and flu season is a thing. I want all of us to stay healthy.
