Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is an Environmental Science magnet school that encourages authentic learning experiences. Many of our students don't have the opportunity to complete research for their projects at home for a variety of reasons.
I am a fifth grade Reading, Writing, and Social Studies teacher, and my students are creative, curious, and capable learners who strive to explore questions and deepen their knowledge.
They are highly motivated and love to read, as well as further research topics discussed in our class.
My Project
I love encourage my students to read a variety of books that challenge them on academic and emotional levels. I also have several projects that require my students to research new and foreign topics to them. Unfortunately my class library selection is limited and we are only allotted one day a week in the library.
With these tablets, my students will have access to a variety of new books and resources that will interest them and deepen their knowledge.
I can use my Amazon Prime membership and download new books that my students request making my class library expand exponentially!
