My Students
My classroom was affected greatly by this pandemic. Living in an area where the kids are already not receiving equitable resources, school being cancelled has broadened their education gap even further.
My students were not even able to receive computers until two months after school was out because of inequitable funding.
With the unknown of what this school year has in hold with this pandemic, I need to make sure my students have a chance to effectively learn from home!
My Project
These resources will help my students create an environment at home that can give them a school feeling. We spend so much time at school using our dry erase boards. The students love being able to solve problems on them and answer questions.
In trying times like these, I want to increase student engagement in the virtual classroom as much as I can.
My students do not have dry erase boards or markers at home, and I would love to be able to provide them with a way to participate in class in a fun way. This will help them avoid just having to raise their hand on a Zoom call or to send it in the chat box and will allow the class to participate as a group!
