My Project
The purpose of the garden will serve as an educational tool to teach students about the process of growing food, promote healthy eating habits, foster environmental stewardship, and provide hands-on learning experiences by connecting classroom curriculum with practical gardening activities across subjects like science, math, and nutrition; essentially allowing students to learn about nature and responsibility through active participation in growing plants.
It will also improve the academic performance of our scholars, be a stress reliever for them, and even lower kids’ anxiety and depression, and help with social-emotional learning.
I would love to help provide our scholars at our school and our community with the experience of gardening and help show them the benefits of what it means to go green!
