This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our STEAM magnet middle school is located in the heart of Los Angeles. Our students come from various backgrounds including homelessness, foster families, single-parent homes and more, BUT they are an amazing group of students. They are eager to learn and have a very open mind to new ideas. They amaze me with what they can do and the way they strive to achieve more.

My Project

My students strive to get better academically yet the constraints of having needed materials on hand can be an obstacle. As most students are struggling readers, I aim is to help these students learn to read so that they can be successful not juts in school but in life. I purchased a program that I want to us with them but I need DVD player. As most students are visual learners, this will help. They need other supplies for follow up activities which will enhance their learning as they practice more.
