Help My Students Learn Through Multi-Sensory Means!

My students need multi-sensory activities such as Wikki Stix and wide line raised paper to help them learn. They love to learn by using manipulatives and hands-on materials.

My Students

Imagine being held to the same standards as all the other students in your class, but your brain works differently. My students will benefit from materials like Wikki Stix Multi-Use Manipulative Kit, Alphabet Cards, Wide Lined Raised Paper, Hip Hoppin Hundreds Mat, and Sight Words String Up.

My students are high need special education students who are in the general education classroom, they need a little extra push when it comes to learning.

They have processing disorders, learning disabilities, but are all wonderful students who love to learn. I want to continue to give them alternative ways to learn that are engaging and multi-sensory. They attend a public school in Manhattan, which is a Title 1 school, and most of them are living in the projects. Their talents are undeniable, they love singing, dancing, and acting. Why not integrate the things they love into their learning? That's my job as a special education teacher. Help me get more interactive activities for these high-energy learners.

My Project

My students will be actively engaged in their learning. What sounds more exciting, sitting and listening, or being involved in your learning by moving, talking, acting? My students will be more engaged in school, it will affect their future and their love for learning. Learning does not come easy for everyone, but my bright students deserve to learn in the ways they retain information best.
