My Project

My AP Physics C and Astronomy students need your support!

It is my constant endeavor to create investigative labs for my students.

Very often I need to buy simple items such as toilet paper, eggs, flashlights, coffee filters, string, ziploc bags etc. Circular motion and Rotational Dynamics are a major part of the physics syllabus. I would like to buy some flying pigs for my students to perform labs on these topics. Hands on learning is very effective but I often find my hands tied due to a lack of supplies and absence of funds to procure them. Your donations will go a long way in helping me create investigative labs, explorations and demonstrations for my students!

When solving problems, students work individually and then share their answers with their group, and then groups share answers with the whole class. Large white boards with stands will help me set up a gallery walk for them to share, reflect on, and discuss their answers.

My IB Astronomy students need to very frequently draw diagrams and flow charts as they learn new concepts. Practicing with chalk on the sidewalk and working on group projects and presentations help them learn collaboratively. White boards, sidewalk chalk and some color pens will help achieve this goal.

Hard working kids like these need snacks to provide them some nutrition and encouragement. Your generosity can make that possible, and it will be much appreciated.
