Help My Students Learn Cursive with Quality Whiteboards

Help me give my students lined whiteboards to neatly practice their cursive handwriting.

My Project

I am requesting 30 heavy-duty lined whiteboards to support daily cursive instruction in my classroom. I need 25 for my students and a few extras in case any are lost or damaged. I recently gave up my old whiteboards because they were flimsy and constantly breaking. These new lined boards will provide the structure students need to form letters correctly and write neatly. The lines help reinforce proper spacing, size, and alignment, which are essential for legible handwriting.

During a recent LETRS training, we spent significant time discussing the importance of handwriting instruction, both in print and cursive.

Handwriting supports literacy development by strengthening the brain’s connection to reading, reinforcing phonics and spelling, and improving fine motor coordination. Cursive writing in particular helps build fluency and muscle memory through continuous motion, which supports overall reading and writing skills.

Using whiteboards allows students to make quick corrections and receive immediate feedback. With these durable boards, my students will have the tools they need to become confident, fluent writers.
