My Project

My students are naturally curious. They love to debate, investigate, and ask, “Wait… is that really true?” Whether they’re talking about space, animals, or strange historical facts, they’re always searching for answers. I want to give them books that feed that curiosity and help them become thoughtful, informed readers.

This project will bring two exciting nonfiction series to our library that make learning irresistible.

The Truth or Lie series challenges students to separate fact from fiction as they explore science, history, and the natural world. Each page dares readers to spot what’s real and what’s made up, turning every book into a fun, fact-checking adventure.

The National Geographic Kids series pairs stunning photography with fascinating information about animals, habitats, and cultures worldwide. These high-interest books are perfect for independent reading, research projects, or quiet moments of discovery in the library.

Both series help students strengthen comprehension and critical-thinking skills while learning how to evaluate information, a skill that’s more important than ever.
