My Project
I am a Special Education teacher in a third-grade self-contained class in a Title I school. Our school consists of culturally and linguistically diverse students within a low socioeconomic community.
Can you imagine how a classroom environment that limits sensory stimulation would enhance students’ learning experience?
Our classroom needs chair glides in order to lessen the noise of moving chairs, and provide my students the opportunity to stay calm and focused.
Our students enjoy working cooperatively, however, several are overly sensitive to sounds. As a result, they withdraw and avoid being engaged, thereby inhibiting their learning.
Please make it possible for us to create a calm, quiet, and engaging environment for the students by easing their sensory issues with fuzzy feet chair glides and tennis ball chair footrests and enabling them to take an active role in learning.
